Prince George’s Community Pool (PG Pool) is a privately owned pool run on a cooperative basis by its members. It is open ONLY to members and their guests from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. There is no daily admittance for non-members. The facility features:
- A newly renovated 50-meter pool with a soft rubber lining
- A large children’s wading pool with a shade sail
- Expansive picnic and lounging areas with large trees and umbrellas for shade
- Picnic tables and chairs
- Gas grills, BBQ smoker, refrigerators, an ice machine and microwaves
- A sandbox for children
- A volleyball court, ping pong table, basketball hoop, board games and other activities
- Swimming lessons
- Free Wi-Fi
- The opportunity for members to reserve space and tables for birthday parties and other special occasions
- Many special events, including:
- Free live music and reasonably priced dinners
- Tent nights with late-night and early-morning swims
- Late-closing nights with music and swimming
- July 4 activities for children
- A competitive swim team open to member children 18 and under who can swim 25 meters unaided
