Workday tomorrow
Good news for all you folks who were really hoping to make it to the pool today ... The rain has scared even the most die hard among us away (you know who you are). So tomorrow is that day - tomorrow we will put a now on this system and call it good.
We need a few people to dig small holes for an hour or so and a few people to fill in those same holes. If there are stragglers beyond that we've got a pile of mulch to spread.

One L A S T workday
Today the contractors laid the last of the irrigation line - there are just a few more things to do to put a bow on it - dig a few holes, fill a bunch more, turn it on a get wet adjusting the heads ... Sounds like fun doesn't it? The ground is very soft -- we made quick work of it last weekend ...
I need 5-8 more to make a pledge for 9-12 next Saturday ... Anyone want to spread some mulch, move some dirt, be among the first to see it come on?

Workday Saturday Oct 22.
Tomorrow we will break ground for a new irrigation system. By the end of the day we'll know what goes where and how much work will need to be done on Saturday.
At a minimum I need 10-15 people in the morning. If you've still got hours to complete and would like your coop refund for this season - this might be your very last chance.

Work Day this Weekend
Hi all,
Since Oktoberfest is done and dusted, we can give our grounds a final clean
up. This involves:
Move all the tables under the awning
Place everything else that moves in the bathhouses
Cover the smoker
Give the fridges, kitchen and grills a final clean and
Place all paper goods etc in watertight bins

Workdays ahead
I'm trying to judge the availability of coop talent for helping to finalize the installation of an irrigation system. The heavy parts will be done but i expect to need 15-20 people for a few hours the weekend of the 22nd. Can anyone interested in helping send me an email at Ta...@orchidconnect.com with generalized availability?
Oktoberfest, Potluck, Saturday @ 4:00 p.m.
Guten Abend, PG Poolios,
Saturday’s event is a *potluck*, so please bring a large dish to share.
As it’s Oktoberfest, the incomparable former Team Beverage leader has
stepped forward and will be providing *seasonal libations* for a small
syndicate fee (most likely $15 or $20—Tony Soprano he ain’t). Questions go

Date for the Diary: Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest at PG Pool is on *Saturday October 1, *beginning around 4:00
p.m. and ending at 8:30ish. This is the correct date, not the one
communicated earlier by somebody who sometimes sends email from this address
but is, unlike me, fallible. (Though as that group seems to include Einstein
today, he/she/it may be in good company.)

Re: [Info from the Cool Pool] Workday Saturday
I'll be at the pool at 8 until 12, and I believe another board member will
take over then to run the day into the afternoon if need be. Please do come
out!

Report on the Membership Meeting
*The takeaway for the time-challenged:*
*
*
Members in 2011 may rejoin between April 1 and April 30. After that date,
membership will be opened up to all until the cap of 650 memberships is
reached. After the cap is reached, nobody will be allowed to join, whether
they were members in 2011 or not. Lord Voldemort will judge sob stories.

Both one-time co-op jobs are taken.
If you did not hear from me, it means someone emailed me before you. Best, Whitney
Two one-time last minute co-op jobs
1. Earn the gratitude of those attending the members' meeting on Saturday. We need someone to purchase appropriate foodstuffs and beverages and help set up. I will email whoever gets the job the list of items and other info. 2 hour +/-
2. Dump runs to Ft. Totten DC dump on Saturday (I checked and it is open). One of the two people should have a pickup truck, or we could rent a small U-Haul truck. The 2nd person is needed to help load and unload. 2 hrs +/-
